NaviAid™ Inflation Systems - Overview

The NaviAid™ balloon inflation technology is designed to provide safe and efficient operation of the various NaviAid™ balloon devices within the gastrointestinal tract. Balloon inflation pressure is regulated and continuously monitored, to ensure optimal anchoring of the inflated balloon to the intestinal walls while maintaining ultimate safety. Balloon anchoring pressure is maintained regardless of the intestinal cross-sectional diameter at the anchoring location. Few separate safety mechanisms prevent over-pressure application to the bowel. During clinical operation, anatomy-resulted pressure change is continuously compensated. The NaviAid™ Inflation Systems are user-friendly and intuitive to operate. Balloon inflation and deflation is triggered by foot-paddle press, and balloon status is displayed on an indication panel, which may be located near the endoscopy video monitor.
