June 2009 - SMART Presenting at DDW 2009

• During DDW 2009, taking place in Chicago IL, USA SMART presented its  NaviAid™ BGE device.
• Prof. Kiesslich et al presented a poster session of a study made using the NaviAid™ BGE in Mainz Germany. The study included 35 patients, and exhibited insertion depth of 1.9m passed LOT, with an average duration of 52 min. Additional information can be obtained through our Clinical Info page.

February 2009 - NaviAid™ BGE selected as one of 6 “extraordinary products” of Medica 2008, by FMI Magazine.

• Every year, the FMI Magazine, published by the Dutch Society of Biomedical Engineers (VZI), presents a special issue on MEDICA’s most interesting and promising new products.NaviAid BGE is the only product in the field of Endoscopy that is featured. Out of hundreds of thousands of products, only 6(!) have been marked as extraordinary.

 October 2008 - BGE launched in Europe during UEGW (October) 2008.

• The NaviAid™ BGE was launched for commercial use in Europe by Pentax Europe GmbH, during UEGW show taking placing in Vienna on October 2008. The NaviAid™ BGE was presented by Pentax Europe, as a main product, and a raffle was made with a NaviAid™ BGE device as a first prize.
• The show included live presentations by Prof. Adler of Bikur Holim hospital in Israel, and Prof. Fernandez of San Carlos hospital in Spain, presenting their personal experience with the device.

May 2008 - Smart Presenting at DDW 2008

• SMART presented its innovative NaviAid™ BGE product during DDW 2008, taking place in San Diego CA, USA. The exhibition included a unique small bowel model, developed by SMART, that offered a hands-on experience of the device.

February 2008

May 2007

April 2007

• SMART and Pentax Europe GmbH enter a distribution partnership for international distribution of the NaviAid™ BGE.  Pentax Europe GmbH will distribute SMART's products in Europe, Africa and the Middle East (excluding Israel, in which SMART is selling directly).

August 2006

• The first clinical study implementing the NaviAid™ BGE is launched
• SMART obtains FDA clearance for the NaviAid™ BGE Device
