NaviAid™ BGE Structure
The NaviAid BGE device is comprised of a 2-balloon add-on disposable element, and an Air Supply Unit (ASU) to control the operation of the balloons.
The BGE Disposable element is easily mounted on the endoscope, with a Stabilizing Balloon (SB) at the endoscope distal end and an Advancing Balloon (AB) sheltered within the SB. The AB is advanced or retracted manually ahead of the scope by a flexible advancing tube which passes through a dedicated external channel, leaving the endoscope instrument channel free for accessory usage.
The NaviAid™ ASU is placed on the standard endoscopy console cart. The NaviAid™ ASU indication panel with its indication panel, which presents the status of the balloons, is located nearby the video monitor. The balloons are operated via a dual foot-pedal. Endoscope advancement is achieved by sequential balloon operation.

The BGE Procedure
The BGE Procedure begins with the endoscope being pushed into the small intestine as far as possible, the AB sheltered within the SB. Further advancement is then achieved by sequential BGE steps, as illustrated below:
