The NaviAid™ ICVI is an On-Demand single use balloon catheter that is applied through the endoscope's intrument channel (IC). It is applied based on physicians ad-hoc descision during the procedure without the need for pre-mounting or interruption of the normal course of the procedure.
The CE marked NaviAid™ ICVI is used to assist the standard colonoscope to perform intubation of the ileum. Once inserted through the scope channel and advanced ahead of the scope inside the ileum, the balloon is inflated to anchor the lumen, and the colonoscope is easily guided over the catheter inside the ileum, utilizing the device as a rail. Following ICV intubation, several advancement steps may be performed in the small bowel as needed.
