The NaviAid™ platform is a family of disposable add-on balloon devices, designed for a variety of applications. SMART is developing the NaviAid™ family of products with the vision of enabling new GI procedures, as well as increasing the availability and efficiency of existing endoscopic procedures, while utilizing existing endoscopic equipment.

Two devices are already availabe from the NaviAid™ family, the NaviAid™ BGE - intended for deep small bowel endoscopy using standard endoscopes, and the NaviAid™ ICVI, an on-demand device intended for quick and deep ileocopy.

Additional products are targeted at improving the yield and efficiency of colonoscopy, and other applications.
The scope of the NaviAid™ platform reaches beyond standard GI endoscopy and includes related procedures such as EUS, ERCP and other interventional endoscopic procedures.

All disposable balloon devices of the NaviAid™ family are supported by a common NaviAid™ Air Supply Unit (ASU). The NaviAid™ ASU is a simple, low cost console, which provides air inflation and deflation for the various disposable balloon products. Employing the NaviAid™ platform, there is no need for a substantial capital investment, while the benefits of the various disposable NaviAid™ products can be implemented on a per-procedure basis.
