The NaviAid™ Platform provides a standard endoscope with the means to overcome major challenges in GI endoscopy, through a series of single-use balloon devices. SMART presently provides three single-use NaviAid™ balloon devices: the NaviAid™ AB for performing deep ileoscopy and upper enteroscopy; the NaviAid™ ABC for fast completion of challenging colonoscopy; and the NaviAid™ BGE for providing two-balloon small bowel endoscopy. Additional NaviAid™ devices are currently under development and commercialization. All NaviAid™ balloon devices are supported by a common inflation technology - the NaviAid™ Air Supply Unit (ASU). The NaviAid™ ASU consoles are simple to operate, low cost systems, which provide controlled air inflation and deflation for the various disposable balloon products. Two advanced models of the ASU systems are currently being commercialized - the single-balloon NaviAid™ SPARK console and the two-balloon NaviAid™ SPARK² console.

The NaviAid™ devices work in complete harmony with standard endoscopes, providing additional capabilities when necessary. As on-demand devices, they can be used during a procedure whenever the physician believes they are appropriate, without any need for pre-mounting or prior preparation.
